Terms of Use
yofair.net is the catalogue of Yofair: presents with a name on them. It is a place to read what a piece is cut from, how big it is, how many letters it will take and what it costs before you buy it. It is not a shop till, and the name is not typed in here.
Where the sale happens
Payment, delivery and returns happen at checkout with our retail partner, not on this site, and the name, the spelling and the font are typed in there too. They set the price you pay, they hold the stock, they ship it, and their returns policy is the one that applies to the parcel. A personalised item is not always returnable in the way an unengraved one is, which is worth reading on their page before the order goes in.
How to read a price here
A figure on this site is the one from our last catalogue update, and it can move between updates. Where the two disagree, the till is right. A piece with no live offer does not carry a stale number: it leaves the site at the next build and comes back when it is on sale again. How the figures are refreshed is set out on how we update the catalogue.
What the words on a card mean
Where a card says 18K gold plated, sterling silver or stainless steel, that is what the piece is sold as in our own product data. Those words are defined in law: the federal guides for the jewelry trade allow "gold plated" only where the plating is durable and the karat fineness is stated with it, and "sterling silver" means 925 parts of silver in a thousand. We have assayed nothing ourselves and print no test results. Words that appear on the packaging of this category (hypoallergenic, nickel-free) are claims made by the manufacturer, and this site does not repeat them as its own.
Letters, spelling and fit
A character count on a card is the one our own product data states, and a long name is cut wider rather than taller: the plate keeps its height. Chain lengths are the ones sold; the fit of a bracelet or an anklet on a particular wrist or ankle is a measurement to take at home. Nothing here is a promise that a spelling will be accepted as typed: what is typed at the checkout is what is cut.
Blankets, babies and skin
Nothing on this site is medical advice. A blanket with a name on it is a present for a pram, a play mat or a lap, and it is not bedding for a baby: the safe-sleep guidance is that for the first year nothing goes in the crib but a fitted sheet. Where a metal is worn against skin, what nickel does is set out by the American Academy of Dermatology, and no page here says what a particular piece will do to a particular person.
What a photograph shows
The photographs show the piece with a sample name cut into it: the name in the picture is not the name you will get, and the length of yours changes the width of the plate. Gold under studio light and the same plating in a hallway are not the same gold, and no screen settles that argument.
